Nayara Journal of STEM Education and Innovation (NJSEI) publishes original, high-quality research in STEM education and innovation. Manuscripts must be original, free from plagiarism, and not previously published or under consideration elsewhere.

All submissions must demonstrate clear novelty and scholarly contribution in line with the journal’s focus on innovation. Manuscripts that do not show significant originality may be rejected during the initial editorial screening.

Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format (.doc/.docx), using A4 paper size, Times New Roman 11pt, 1 spacing, and a single-column layout. The journal accepts manuscripts in English.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be 5,000–8,000 words and organized as follows:

  • Title: Concise and informative (max. 15–20 words)
  • Author(s): Full names without academic titles
  • Affiliation: Institutional affiliation of each author
  • Email: Corresponding author’s email
  • Abstract (150–300 words): Must include statement of the problem, research questions or research purpose, method; findings/results; and clearly indicate the novelty/contribution
  • Keywords: 3–5 relevant terms or word
  • Introduction: Background, literature review, research gap, and clear statement of novelty and contribution
  • Methods: Research design, data sources, instruments, and analysis
  • Results and Discussion: Findings and in-depth interpretation, highlighting what is new
  • Conclusion: Summary of findings and main contribution
  • References: APA 7th edition

Novelty and Contribution

NJSEI emphasizes innovation as a core requirement. Authors must clearly demonstrate the originality of their work. Manuscripts should present at least one of the following:

  • New concepts, models, or theoretical frameworks
  • Innovative teaching or learning approaches in STEM
  • Integration of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, AR, digital learning)
  • New empirical findings that extend existing knowledge
  • Application of known methods in new contexts

Authors are expected to explicitly state their contribution in the manuscript, for example:
“This study contributes by…” or “The novelty of this research lies in…”

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must be clearly labeled, numbered consecutively, and referenced in the text. High-quality images are required.

References & Citation

NJSEI uses APA 7th edition. Authors should prioritize recent and relevant references and use reference management tools (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero).

Ethical Requirements

  • Originality and proper citation
  • No simultaneous submission
  • Disclosure of conflicts of interest
  • Ethical approval (if applicable)

AI Usage & Data

Any use of AI tools must be clearly disclosed. AI tools cannot be listed as authors and must not replace intellectual contribution.

Authors are encouraged to provide a Data Availability Statement.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements:

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
