Archiving Policy

Nayara Journal of STEM Education and Innovation (NJSEI) ensures the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of its published content through reliable digital archiving systems. The journal is committed to safeguarding scholarly works and maintaining permanent access to all published articles.

NJSEI utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) for electronic backup and digital preservation. This service, developed by the Public Knowledge Project, supports journals using Open Journal Systems (OJS) in ensuring long-term digital preservation and accessibility.

The PKP Preservation Network operates based on the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) principle, which provides:

  • Decentralized and distributed preservation across multiple secure locations
  • Redundant storage to prevent data loss
  • Secure and permanent access to journal content
  • Preservation of the authentic and original version of published articles

Through this system, NJSEI ensures that its content remains accessible even in the event of technical failures, system disruptions, or platform discontinuation.

In addition to PKP PN, NJSEI supports broader dissemination and redundancy by allowing articles to be indexed and archived in:

  • Institutional repositories
  • National and international indexing platforms
  • Academic databases and digital libraries

Authors are also permitted to deposit the published version of their articles in personal websites, institutional repositories, and academic networking platforms, in accordance with the journal’s open access policy.

Commitment to Digital Preservation

NJSEI is committed to maintaining the integrity, authenticity, and availability of the scholarly record. The journal continuously adopts best practices in digital preservation to ensure that all published content remains accessible to the global academic community over time.
