This statement outlines the ethical standards and responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process of Sintesa Journal of Islamic Economy, Law, and Education (SJEILE), including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher (Nayara Sintesa Publisher). This statement is based on the guidelines and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
SJEILE is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and ensuring integrity in scholarly publishing.
The Editor-in-Chief and editorial team are responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts should be published, based on their academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
Editors evaluate manuscripts without regard to the authors’ race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
Editors and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial board members, or publisher as appropriate.
Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used by editors for their own research without the author’s explicit written consent.
Editors must ensure a fair and unbiased peer-review process and must avoid any conflict of interest or commercial influence in editorial decision-making.
Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and help improve the quality of manuscripts through constructive feedback.
Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not share or discuss them with others without authorization from the editor.
Reviews should be conducted objectively, with clear arguments and supporting evidence.
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and point out any potential plagiarism or overlap.
Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and decline to review manuscripts where such conflicts exist.
Reviewers are expected to complete their reviews within the agreed timeframe and contribute responsibly to the peer-review process.
Reviewers must not use any information obtained during the review process for personal advantage.
Authors must present their research accurately, clearly, and honestly, without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation.
Manuscripts submitted must be original works and must not have been published or submitted simultaneously to another journal.
Authors must properly cite and acknowledge the work of others.
